Seasons change. Habits Change.

Right about now, I start to get that same feeling I get after Thanksgiving, at the end of December, or on that last day of a long vacation.

It’s that “okay… I just may have let myself go a bit.  Honestly, I could really use some more veggies, better sleep, and, dang!~ I need some STRUCTURE…”  kind of feeling.

Summer is awesome for playing it loose: Cookouts, long days, late nights, visitors popping in, kids running around, dogs running around, visitors, kids and dogs – you get the idea. 

It’s been a season of saying yes to everything. And honestly? That’s great. That IS what summer’s for.

But here’s the thing… if we lived like this year-round, it would wreck us. Too much food, too many brews, not enough sleep, and way too little consistency.

The good news? Tuesday marks the real shift back to routine season. Kids back in school. Work schedules stabilizing. A chance to breathe and reset.

The bad news? Thanksgiving is only 87 days away—which means the next holiday season (and another shake-up to your routine) is right around the corner.

Here’s the best news of all:
The most successful people I know—whether in health, fitness, business, or life—embrace these seasons. When it’s time to play, they play. When it’s time to work, they get to work. 

No guilt, no shame, no crash diets. Just find the rhythm and slip in.

So here’s my challenge to you:
👉 Don’t beat yourself up for what you did this summer.
👉 Don’t step on the scale and groan.
👉 Don’t obsess over “starting over.”

Instead:

👉Toss the leftover hotdogs, ice cream and beers.

👉 Stock the fridge with clean foods: fresh meat and lots of veggies.

👉 Schedule your workouts for the week and stick to them.

Simple. Clean. Effective.
